Cbana Laboratories is developing novel adsorbents and microanalytical devices for the capture and analysis of pollutants, drugs and other dangerous materials. Technologies include:

• Banasorb™ revolutionary series of a metal organic framework based adsorbent for pollutant capture and analysis in homes, businesses and the government.
• MicGC™, a MEMS based sensor system for the detection of drugs and dangerous materials in air and in breath.
• The microfluidic components to allow the devices to work:
  • MEMS based pumps and preconcentrators for gas sampling
  • MEMS based microvalves for flow control
  • MEMS based separators to largely eliminate false positives in sensor systems

Cbana Laboratories is headquartered in Champaign-Urbana IL, the home of the University of Illinois. Champaign-Urbana is a small city with affordable housing and good schools, and yet has cultural and entertainment opportunities usually associated with a big city. Champaign-Urbana is two hours south of Chicago and about 3 hours from St Louis.
